A Library
Rich in History

The “Fiamma Lanzara” Library and the Historical Archive of the Accademia Costume & Moda represent the largest cultural documentation centre on fashion in the Lazio region. They serve as a fundamental reference point for students, researchers, and industry professionals.
An Extensive Heritage
to Discover
Explore a cultural heritage of over 22,000 volumes, including monographic collections, historical and contemporary periodicals, the extensive student thesis collection, and the archival heritage with its five protected fonds.
PERIODICALS ARCHIVE
Over 15,000 magazine issues: from the very first issue of the American edition of Harper’s Bazaar, followed by its Italian counterpart, to the complete collection of Bellezza: Mensile d’Alta Moda e di Vita Italiana, and the latest independent and industry editorial releases, our library holds an extraordinary wealth of fashion publications.
THESIS
Each thesis tells a unique story, the result of months of study, experimentation, and design vision by the students of our Three-Year Courses and First-Level Master’s Programmes. This collection represents a valuable archive, capturing the evolution of Fashion, Costume, and Communication through the eyes and ideas of a new generation of creatives.
