There are places that preserve stories, emotions, and visions. The Historical Archive of Accademia Costume & Moda is one such place, a treasure trove of documents, sketches, magazines, and creations that narrate over sixty years of fashion, costume, and culture.
This year, with immense pride, we opened the doors of our Historical Archive for Archivissima, the festival that celebrates the legacy and significance of historical archives. A special occasion to share with the public a unique heritage, weaving together past, present, and future through the ideas and creations of generations of talents.
Founded in 1964 by Rosana Pistolese, the Historical Archive of the Accademia is far more than just a collection, it is a living testament to the evolution of fashion, one that has spanned eras, inspired artists, and trained outstanding professionals. During Archivissima, visitors had the chance to embark on this extraordinary journey, leafing through pages of history, discovering original sketches, and immersing themselves in the passion that has shaped and continues to shape the Accademia.
Taking part in Archivissima was an opportunity to honour memory and heritage, reaffirming our commitment to the preservation and promotion of fashion culture. Because fashion is not just about trends and catwalks, it is also research, tradition, and identity.
