It was a true honour for us to witness such an inspiring conversation between Monsieur Pinault and our President, A. Lupo Lanzara—an intense dialogue that touched on multiple key themes. Among these were the importance of creativity, the vision that Kering is pursuing across all its global activities with a focus on sustainability and social responsibility, the central role of Italy, and the group’s strategic investments throughout the entire value chain. Particular attention was also given to the theme of education and its significance, with Accademia Costume & Moda standing as an example of these virtuous connections.
However, one of the most remarkable moments of the visit was Monsieur Pinault’s discovery of the Fiamma Lanzara Library, a priceless cultural treasure that encapsulates the history of fashion and costume through documents, rare books, and precious archives. His reaction of amazement and keen interest further underscored the crucial importance of preserving and enhancing this extraordinary heritage for future generations of creatives and scholars.
Mr Pinault and his team enthusiastically explored our campus, immersing themselves in the richness of the Fiamma Lanzara Library and its documentary treasures, before continuing their visit to our Accessories, Fashion, and Costume Laboratories, the Textile and Fabric Archive, and the terraces. This experience allowed them to fully grasp the approach behind the Vision of our Founder, Rosana Pistolese, and the significance of stakeholdership for an independent school like ours.
Many of our alumni now work within the Kering Group, as do the prestigious Industry Projects developed in collaboration with the group’s maisons: Gucci, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Brioni, and Alexander McQueen. We are deeply grateful for these opportunities for growth and exchange.
A heartfelt thank you to Kering and its Chairman and CEO for the time dedicated to our students and faculty, and for the keen interest shown in our cultural and educational heritage.
