On 4 May 2023, we had the honour of welcoming Francesca Bellettini, President & CEO of Saint Laurent, to the Rome Campus of ACM, where she shared her experience with our community.

A particularly significant moment of her visit was her stop at the Fiamma Lanzara Library, where she immersed herself in our cultural heritage and gained insight into the importance of knowledge and research in the fashion sector. The Library, a guardian of a precious legacy, represents a bridge between past and future, between tradition and innovation, and the time Francesca Bellettini dedicated to discovering its value is a source of great pride for us.

The meeting with our community was enriched by a profound and stimulating exchange, moderated by our President, A. Lupo Lanzara, together with his brother, CEO Furio Francini. Students had the opportunity to listen to the remarkable journey of Francesca Bellettini, from her studies at Bocconi University to the world of Investment Banking, and her entry into the fashion industry with experiences at Prada, Helmut Lang, Bottega Veneta, Gucci, and ultimately Saint Laurent, where she has achieved exceptional results.

The topics covered addressed fundamental aspects such as Heritage & Values, Talent & Creativity, Branding & Positioning, Sustainability & R&D, and Strategy & Execution. The meeting concluded with an extensive Q&A session, transforming into a genuine conversation between Francesca Bellettini and our community.

Alongside her, we also welcomed Paul Guyot-Sionnest, Director of External Affairs and Chief of Staff to the President and CEO; Sven Goedecken, RTW Operations Director; Duccio Bosio, Savoir Faire Director; Cayetano Fabry, EMEA President; and Annalisa Paviotti, General Manager for Southern Europe. In addition to the Fiamma Lanzara Library, they explored our Laboratories, Textile Archive, and Terraces, gaining a deeper understanding of the vision of our Founder, Rosana Pistolese, and the role of the Academy today, thanks to collaborations with our industry partners.
