MONOGRAPHIC COLLECTIONS

The "Fiamma Lanzara" library contains over 6,000 monographic volumes in the fields of fashion, costume (theoretical and practical), art, applied arts, performing arts, communication, photography, and management.

The entire monographic collection of “Fiamma Lanzara” is catalogued in SBN (National Library System), of which it has been a part since 2015, participating in the network of cultural institutions in Rome. Our catalogue is continuously updated with new acquisitions arriving daily through donations, purchases, and exchanges.
The monographic collections primarily explore the areas of study offered by the Academy of Costume and Fashion’s courses and, to meet the increasing needs of external users, also cover areas seemingly distant from costume and fashion. However, these areas increasingly fulfill the research needs of professionals, educators, and researchers from all over Italy and abroad.

The library offers both the monographic section and the periodicals section a “desiderata” service, which allows any user to suggest the purchase of a book or subscription to specialised journals.
Periodically, based on the acquisition campaign, the suggested volumes are added to the collection and made available to all users.
