SPECIAL COLLECTIONS

The “Fiamma Lanzara” Library also houses two prestigious private bibliographic collections: the personal library of Franca Sozzani (legendary Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Italia) and that of fashion journalist Pia Soli.

FRANCA SOZZANI LIBRARY

The personal library of the legendary Vogue Italia editor Franca Sozzani was donated to the library by her heirs in September 2020. The collection, which accounts for 50% of the total, covers all the main thematic areas that Sozzani explored and became renowned for throughout her career.

It includes signed copies, dedicated editions, and in many cases, limited and rare editions. The donated collection, which is fully accessible through SBN, consists of 1175 volumes.

PIA SOLI LIBRARY

The personal library of Pia Soli, donated to the library along with the second portion of the private archival collection, is a very rich collection of sources and specialised studies, truly unique in its kind.

Donated by her husband, Engineer Massimo Soli, in the early months of 2021, this library contains numerous high-quality editions, signed and dedicated to one of the most important fashion journalists in Italy of the late twentieth century.
